# Bushido Blade 2 — Browser dojo

This website runs the original USA PlayStation game, **Bushido Blade 2 (SLUS-00663)**, through EmulatorJS 4.2.3 and PCSX ReARMed, using its legacy WebGL 1 browser renderer with browser VSync disabled. The linked [recompilation project](https://github.com/alexbeavs-ps1-ports/bushido-blade-2-recomp) informed the research; this website uses emulation rather than that native port.

Choose a fighter and weapon, then fight on the open wooden floor. Original game CPU and Lively sparring both use native CPU swordplay. Lively multiplies the original CPU skill threshold by four, capped at its native maximum; Original leaves it unchanged. The level picker has been removed. Choose fighters opens fresh user-controlled fighter and weapon selection. The page retains its visible Full screen button, bottom keyboard controls, and original combat effects. Character/weapon selection is silent, removing its menu shouts while the music continues.

The death-to-respawn flow is restored to the first build's original Practice2 behavior. The game handles the fall, score, and next round directly. Browser replay extensions, automatic saved-state resets, and forced Continue presses are removed. Gameplay is another12% faster than the preceding update, at1.5438366332928×. Keyboard events forward immediately to the core; native weapon wind-up animation still belongs to the original game.

Your supplied **Seishin Asian Lofi HipHop Mix** replaces the synthesized music. Four three-minute sections (about12minutes and11.03MB total) play in order and repeat, streaming one section at a time with independent volume/mute, pause, and Next track. The requested section from23:00 in the source mix plays first. [Excerpt provenance](./audio/seishin/PROVENANCE.json) records source hashes and timing. The recording was supplied by the user; it is not an original composition by this website.

The star tunnel, peaceful audio-clock sway, light streaks, partial rear-wall masking and floor transparency remain. The floor is86% opaque wood with an even14% starfield tint, without the bright strips around fighters. Stars are brighter and respond to live music energy; their twirl is another5% slower. Some wall fragments remain where removing them could harm the original image. This is a conservative visual composite, not replacement geometry.

The compact combat disc is 75,611,235 bytes, before the browser runtime and menu states. Its 124 non-streaming files are retained byte for byte. The opening movie and 37 XA audio files are omitted, removing the original soundtrack and streaming story dialogue. Original sound-effect files remain. Logical disc locations and sector headers are preserved. The Smooth toggle changes how the browser scales the original image; it is not an HD artwork or 3D resolution upgrade.

The included **OpenBIOS** is a freely redistributable MIT-licensed replacement BIOS from PCSX-Redux, distributed by Canoeboot 26.01rev1. No Sony BIOS is included. Menu states are specific to this pinned emulator and OpenBIOS build. PlayStation Link mode and online multiplayer are not provided.
